And when those shadows converge, the consequences are far more dangerous than anyone could have predicted.True Colours, a steamy erotic romance, is the second instalment in the You Don't Know Me Trilogy.

I live in Leicester, in the UK. Up until Christmas 2015, I was a full-time teacher, but now I'm a full-time writer, taking a few months away from teaching to focus on finishing the You Don't Know Me trilogy.I've been writing since I was about thirteen, trying out different genres for size. In 2014, after reading a few more of my favourite genre, erotic romance, I came up with the idea for You Don't Know Me. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I've got plenty of ideas for more erotic romances in the future!

Another great read, sensual, gripping, tension rising the whole lot. Look forward to the finale. Where will it take us

True Colours starts the following day after the traumatic events at the end of book one, You Don’t Know Me. Maya had discovered Dan’s true identity. She was devastated because he had lied to her about his real parents and she believed he had an ulterior motive for having a relationship with her.The events in book one take place over three weeks, so although Maya and Dan’s story is fascinating because they absorb the reader and drag you into their intense love story, there is still a great deal we don’t know about them. They’re getting to know each other and we’re getting to know the characters too. They both have issues and Dan has plenty of secrets, some of which he gradually tells Maya, and others she finds out by herself, or is told by a third person, straining their volatile relationship. Although Maya is the narrator, there seem to be many things we don’t know about her either, yet.I liked the way they coped with their personal problems as a couple, and I thought the way Dan addressed and dealt with the differences between hardcore BDSM and kink was enlightening. He’s been there done it, and when Maya tries to dabble he wants her to look further into herself instead of using it as a blocking mechanism. There’s also plenty of humour in the novel. Dan and Maya both have a great sense of humour, which comes across in their dialogues. There’s also some traditional slapstick humour involving (poor) Beefy, her unsuspecting bodyguard. The shopping spree in Harrods with Maya’s best friend Lucy and a bottle of champagne is hilarious.Another fabulous aspect of the novel is the setting. Opening lines: 'Southwark is darkening. Clouds thicken. The waters of the Thames deepen in colour: charcoal grey, indigo, raw umber, olive green, black.' You'll feel you're there as you read Maya and Dan's story.I love the twists and turns as we gradually discover who Dan is. There’s also a psychopath ex-boyfriend pursuing Maya, who will cause havoc in their lives, right to the last page, and into book 3. The end is unexpected and shocking, and although it’s not exactly a cliffhanger, it opens up a great story for book 3.I enjoyed reading True Colours as much as I enjoyed ‘You Don’t Know Me’ right from page one. The characters are absorbing, it is a well-written, well-plotted, fun and enjoyable, romantic read, and I’m impatiently looking forward to book 3.

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was very excited to receive my copy of True Colours. After the cruel cliff hanger at the end of You Don't Know Me - I just had to know. I wanted to discover what was going to happen to the new, erotic, but fragile relationship between Maya Scotton and Daniel Foster. I was not at all disappointed. No spoilers here. You just need to be aware you need to read - You Don't Know Me first!I love Ms Lee's description and humour. There are times when I cried with laughter and others with tears of sadness. Heart strings were pulled. I love authors who really make you care for their character's and their plights. Who build great characters without giving away too much of the plot. Indeed I loved all the twists and turns as Maya and Daniel try to build their obvious attraction into a more stable, loving relationship. They sizzle together. I LOVED the reciting of Andrew Marvell's poem - indeed he's a "Dirty Bugger". Fantastic. Another great scene is the personal shopping experience at Harrods! I love Maya's defiance to Daniel's controlling nature. The fast pace of the plot transports the reader to the beautiful Island of Bermuda. Daniel reveals more about his past. Hint - don't miss the lighthouse scene. Just as the reader begins to relax and believe Maya and Daniel can be happy together - Boyd from Maya's past returns causing more problems and danger for the couple. Again no spoilers. Just simply give True Colours and the very talented Ms Lee a couple hours of your valuable time. SIMPLY SIT DOWN AND ENJOY!

Wow and what a way to leave book 2! This is turning into a great trilogy Mandy. I'm loving the intrigue, the drama and the hot relationship mounting between Dan and Maya. Your writing is something that any reader can relate to. It's a joy to read just don't leave it too long for the next book. This book really hinges around trust something that doesn't come naturally to either Dan or Maya. I nearly had heart failure near to the end but crisis averted. So looking forward to book 3. Well done!

OMG! A must reading following on from 'You Don't Know Me'... I am willing Mandy Lee to finish the 3rd book in the series as I am completely captivated by the entire story. I read the two books within two days, could not put them down once I first started. Amazing, amazing read and I am sure it will become a 'must read' in the near future!Mandy.... Please hurry your publisher, I can't wait much longer!

I loved this sequel to 'You don't know me'. Maya and Dan's characters continued to be refreshingly believable and real as the plot took some exciting twists and turns for them. The author really revved up the throttle with this one and it had me on the edge of my seat wondering if Dan and Maya would make it as a couple. Did they? You'll have to read it to find out!

Thought I'd reviewed this ages ago, but apparently not!! Fantastic read, laugh-out-loud funny as well as deeply poignant and moving. The observations of human nature feel spot on and relevant. Really want to know what happens to the main characters. Can't wait for the third book in the trilogy to be published!
