2.5 – Could Have Been So Much Better Stars.I stuck with this duo of books as I really enjoyed the premise of the first book “A Million Dirty Secrets. The storyline was a little different, virgin selling herself to the highest bidder in order to try and save her ailing mother. A Millionaire with a bruised heart looking for sex without all of the entanglements for a couple of years, as you would expect feelings come into play and Noah in the end gives up Lainie so that she can be with her mother. We pick up in A Million Guilty Pleasures right where book one left off, and I am not surprised that the main issues I have with it are pretty much the same as the ones I had with book one, I was just hoping that I could get past them enough to enjoy the culmination of Noah and Lainie’s story. Sadly no, all the Coohie, Hoochie, Porntastic and Wonderpeen references as well as the plethora of other cheesy euphemisms for all the sexy stuff just left me cold and bored. The sex was still hot, but again ruined by the constant juvenile references.I loved Noah’s POV, and the verbal sparring between the two of them was at points brilliant, and the epilogue was pretty good too. It’s just disappointing I could get past the tacky and immature language used throughout.ARC provided via Netgalley in exchange for the above honest review.

A Million Guilty Pleasures picks straight up where the first book ends, I was excited to read the next book especially since the first one ended with a cliff-hanger. Just like the first book, this one is also set in both Lanie and Noah point of view, though the one also introduces a new character point of view in the form of David. The first couple of chapters have you gripping for more with everything that is going on, the sudden turn of events with Noah and Lanie relationship, Lanie's mother turn for the worse and how far Noah's business partner David is willing to go to get what he really wants. Things aren't going well for Lanie and Noah in the first part of the book, though Lanie isn't willing to let Noah get away without so fight. (Not literally though!)Lanie has really grown since the first book and has really learnt how to stick up for herself, which you really see in this book, but she has also grown into herself as well becoming more independent. The big part of this book includes Lanie's mother who is sick and David, Noah's shady business partner, though with these big issues come with some even bigger lies. The second instalment is a great addition to the series, with more humour and more passion, it makes reading it even more exciting and you are not able to put it down. With this being the ending to this wonderfully written story, I thought that this story had the rightful ending that it deserved. You get to see more into the lives of both Lanie and Noah, as well as how they learn to overcome so many things as the story progresses, bringing them to their future together.I loved the main characters, as well as the other characters that make the story what it is. With Dez, Lanie's best friend and Noah's assistant/friend Polly, this story is not short of any humour and funny situations that these friends get into. A Million Guilty Pleasures is the perfect passionate ending to this series, with the humour, friendships, family bonds, love that is found and the family that they both have found in each other. If I had to sum this book up in three words, they would be Passionate, Exciting and Addictive.
