    Book details

Handmade British ale ought to have the same status as the fine wines of Bordeaux. Ancient recipes that blend and balance rich ingredients continue to produce the finest ales in the world. Here are the award winning, handcrafted beers that drink with superb character and flavours. Cask-conditioned, living ales to savour and some with great strength if that's what you want to find. Only real ale houses are included: more than 3500 pubs, free houses and brew pubs, plus independent and micro breweries you can visit. Here are the houses that serve real ales from traditional cellars using time-honoured techniques and cellarmanship. We tell you the names of their regular beers, the kind of food that they provide and the style of the pub as the landlord describes it. There's a section on bottle-conditioned ales too. Being alive and difficult to keep they are not available in everyone's High Street. But from our website many of them can be delivered to your home or office. Just click our link www.askdaisy.net/realale.

The Real Ale Research Team are real ale enthusiasts who work with great passion to make this the best real ale guide.
